Have you checked out the upcoming 2021 Extrusion Conference on Plastics Technology? It will be held September 21-23 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois, a short drive from O’Hare Airport.
In two and a half days, attendees will be able to listen to more than 70 technical experts' speeches covering a wide range of subject areas. Since the launch of the Squeeze Conference in 2015, we have been organizing our plan in the same way: each morning meeting will include presentations on general squeeze topics. There will be three simultaneous group meetings every afternoon to hone your specific process: film/sheet; pipe/profile/pipe; and compounding. This year we have added a track on post-consumer recycling.
If you extrude sheet or film, in these two afternoon courses, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the best practices of PE film production, high-speed PP sheet, troubleshooting, winding, thickness measurement options, etc. You can also enter the recovery orbit without restrictions.
If you are particularly engaged in the film extrusion industry, you can also sign up for the pre-conference seminar on the afternoon of September 20th. The program is organized by TAPPI and focuses on the increasingly important sustainability issues and how flexible packaging must adapt to the circular economy.
But don’t sleep late, because there are many schedules for you every morning: basic knowledge of screw design, troubleshooting of conveying systems, best practices for drying and mixing, new developments in filtration and melt pump technology, how to use recycling more effectively, New color methods, and more.
